Lauren Skuba Clinical Supervisor

Individual Supervision with Lauren

I provide clinical supervision to marriage and family therapists working toward licensure in Colorado. My approach to supervision is focused on supporting you in your growth and development as an attuned and skilled systemic therapist. I value both the art and science of therapy and we will work together to help you hone your sense of how change occurs in the process of therapy for your clients and yourself. I am passionate about growing the MFT field with therapists who are able to attune to clients from a place of emotional authenticity and with the feeling of being grounded in a therapeutic stance.

I remember what it feels like to start out in this field and the experience of beginning to build an authentic and effective approach to working with clients. I deeply value the work I did with my own supervisors over my years working toward licensure and my choice of supervisor was one of the most impactful decisions I’ve made toward a fulfilling and successful career as a marriage and family therapist. I work to support an environment where you can feel safe to explore your strengths and areas for growth, connect more intentionally with how you show up in the therapy space with your clients, and celebrate your journey toward licensure. I value feedback in my work and hold space where you can share about what is feeling helpful and what you’d like us to try to do differently in our work together. It is part of my ethics and value system to work with and support people from diverse backgrounds and marginalized identities, to explore power and privilege, and bring this stance into my work with supervisees.

I am working toward the AAMFT Approved Supervisor credential and as part of this process, I am able to provide supervision as a licensed marriage and family therapist in Colorado while also participating in my own supervision mentorship to continue my growth as a skilled systemic supervisor and provide you with a beneficial supervision experience.

If you feel I might be a good fit for your clinical supervision experience, please contact me to schedule a free 30 minute clinical consultation meeting. In this meeting we will be able to explore if our approaches are a good match, answer any questions that you have for me, and determine if I can support you on your journey toward licensure.
